Ridges Sanctuary Guided Snowshow Hikes
Ridges’ Marshall Cabin (8288 Hwy Q, Baileys Harbor)
Snowshoeing is a great way to explore Door County in winter, and burn off some of those extra holiday calories. Starting on January 6, The Ridges Sanctuary in Baileys Harbor will sponsor weekly guided Snowshoe Hikes. Each Friday and Saturday in January and February, you can join a Ridges naturalist to explore the Sanctuary trails and learn about winter ecology and wildlife. Snowshoe hikes begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Ridges’ Marshall Cabin (8288 Hwy Q, Baileys Harbor). The hikes last about 90 minutes, and are geared toward beginning to intermediate snowshoers. Some loaner snowshoes are available; call ahead to reserve. If there is insufficient snow, we will hike without snowshoes. Cost is $5 for those with their own snowshoes, or $10 if using Ridges snowshoes. Children under 18 are free. Call the Ridges office at (920) 839-2802 for more information.
